What did the comic book fans think of the Green Lantern movie?

I haven't read any of the green lantern comics myself, and I really enjoyed this movie. I just wanted to know what the people that have read the green lantern comics thought of the movie? Did suit the character?
I did think that perhaps the comic book fans wouldn't like this movie at all, I am going to read the comics and so I've purchased 'Absolute Green Lantern Rebirth' what are the other comics I should pick up?

I thought it was good but fans bash it cuz its not just like the comic book wouldnt you rather be suprised than watch the same thing you just read its a fricking adaptation its not gonna be just like the comic book geez wouldnt you rather be suprised.

It's horrible.

I'm not a huge fan of Green Lantern anyway(well except in Justice League) but the animated movies are far better than the Ryan Reynolds one.

I have never seen a Gondry movie. The Green Hornet is amazing! It is so fun I never wanted the movie to end. It doesn't really contain dream cequences. But it does contain u seeing through the eyes of the heroes. It shows slow moation

Bruce Lee originally WAS the Green Hornet i don't like that they are making a movie. I don't know maybe i am the only person who feels this way :(

Limited edition only 1500 made, green polyester with gold metal flake engraving ABC WIBC approved, 16# bowling ball. One of the 1500 sits in the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame. Anyone know how much this is worth? I've had this since sometime in the 90's and am looking to maybe get rid of it. Holes have not been drilled in the ball.
The holes are not drilled. I think it's worth more than $150 but thanks for your answer. I'll keep looking!
